Giving second chances through live sessions, evidence‑based learning, mentorship, and community‑building events.
More than 200 graduates. Less than 10% recidivism—powered by live cohort sessions, expert made online modules, community events, and targeted interventions.
We offer a 12‑month restorative justice program that blends live workshops, structured online learning, mentorship, and community engagement to equip justice‑impacted individuals with the skills, mindset, and resources to thrive. Our model is grounded in recidivism research and targeted interventions to reduce criminogenic risk factors.
Participants advance through 12 themed modules delivered via RED’s online learning platform and reinforced in live sessions. The program integrates:
In‑person and virtual meetups translate learning into action. Facilitators run practice reps (mock interviews, cognitive restructuring exercises, role‑plays for conflict resolution), guest panels with justice partners, and goal‑tracking check‑ins. Attendance and participation feed into individualized support plans.
Every participant is paired with a trained mentor, meeting monthly one‑on‑one and connecting at program events. Training covers effective communication, motivational interviewing, and trauma‑informed care. Feedback loops and status checks keep relationships strong. Many graduates return as mentors to pay it forward.
Beyond the classroom, monthly pro‑community activities—civic education field trips, museum visits, service projects, fitness challenges, and Q&A panels—foster teamwork, social capital, and a sense of belonging. Missed events require equivalent community service hours to maintain accountability and continuity.
RED applies best practices from recidivism research to tailor support: risk‑need‑responsivity (RNR) principles, CBT‑informed coaching, employment readiness and placement, housing and healthcare referrals, and substance‑use navigation. LSI and EI checkpoints trigger timely interventions, and progress is reviewed with mentors and staff.
Partnerships with organizations like Whole Way Housing, Mercy Care, and GED Works provide wraparound services—from healthcare to credentialing and job training—so barriers are identified early and addressed quickly.
To replace cycles of incarceration with cycles of education, community, and opportunity—creating lasting change for participants, their families, and their communities.

It's a 12 month program with in-person classroom sessions, online modules, community building activities, risk need responsivity model assessments, and mentors. After the 12 months, the participant's record is restricted.
We've had an over 90% success rate for our graduates. After 3 years, most of our participants don't recidivate.
We graduate more than 85% of our participants.
We take in first time non violent offenders.
We allocate resources based on participant needs. Our complete evaluations and participant interviews allow us to help participants based on their specific issues.
We use a combination of interviews and assessments to accurately evaluate participant risk levels and needs.
You must be a non-violent offender, and be willing to commit to the program.
We are currently in the process of getting RED into more jurisdictions. Please contact us at info@stoprecidivism.org to get more information.
