12 Month
Restorative Justice Program

Giving second chances through live sessions, evidence‑based learning, mentorship, and community‑building events.

Full Year Program

More than 200 graduates. Less than 10% recidivism—powered by live cohort sessions, expert made online modules, community events, and targeted interventions.

We offer a 12‑month restorative justice program that blends live workshops, structured online learning, mentorship, and community engagement to equip justice‑impacted individuals with the skills, mindset, and resources to thrive. Our model is grounded in recidivism research and targeted interventions to reduce criminogenic risk factors.

Our Approach

Participants advance through 12 themed modules delivered via RED’s online learning platform and reinforced in live sessions. The program integrates:

  • Criminogenic risk factor evaluations to tailor learning paths and support. Targeted interventions are at the core of our approach.
  • Interactive lessons with videos, readings, and simulations to improve real decision making skills.
  • Regular live cohort sessions—workshops, coaching circles, and scenario‑based labs—to practice skills, build accountability, and strengthen peer support.
  • Data‑informed re‑engagement rules (e.g., quiz mastery ≥ 75%, time‑on‑task thresholds, progress flags) to ensure full comprehension.

Live Sessions

In‑person and virtual meetups translate learning into action. Facilitators run practice reps (mock interviews, cognitive restructuring exercises, role‑plays for conflict resolution), guest panels with justice partners, and goal‑tracking check‑ins. Attendance and participation feed into individualized support plans.

Mentorship

Every participant is paired with a trained mentor, meeting monthly one‑on‑one and connecting at program events. Training covers effective communication, motivational interviewing, and trauma‑informed care. Feedback loops and status checks keep relationships strong. Many graduates return as mentors to pay it forward.

Community Building

Beyond the classroom, monthly pro‑community activities—civic education field trips, museum visits, service projects, fitness challenges, and Q&A panels—foster teamwork, social capital, and a sense of belonging. Missed events require equivalent community service hours to maintain accountability and continuity.

Targeted Interventions

RED applies best practices from recidivism research to tailor support: risk‑need‑responsivity (RNR) principles, CBT‑informed coaching, employment readiness and placement, housing and healthcare referrals, and substance‑use navigation. LSI and EI checkpoints trigger timely interventions, and progress is reviewed with mentors and staff.

Partnerships with organizations like Whole Way Housing, Mercy Care, and GED Works provide wraparound services—from healthcare to credentialing and job training—so barriers are identified early and addressed quickly.

Proven Impact

  • 87% graduation rate (2022–2024 cohorts)
  • 7% recidivism rate among graduates
  • 87% employed post‑program; 73% in full‑time roles
  • 80% take on leadership roles at work or in community
  • 13 of 15 graduates report increased respect and belonging in their communities

Our Mission

To replace cycles of incarceration with cycles of education, community, and opportunity—creating lasting change for participants, their families, and their communities.
